Privacy & Terms

Effective date: July 21, 2026  ·  TriPoint LLC, a Colorado limited liability company

Privacy PolicyTerms of Use (EULA)

The short version: TriPoint Academy keeps your work on your own devices. We don't require an account, we don't run ads or analytics, and we don't sell your data. If you connect to the optional companion, only basic server logs are recorded — never your study content. The one thing we do collect is the text of questions you choose to send to our optional TriAi assistant, which we use in aggregate to improve the model (section 6) — so please don't put personal information in those questions.

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TriPoint Academy is developed by TriPoint LLC. This policy covers the TriPoint Academy mobile app (Apple App Store, Bundle ID com.tripointacademy.app) and the companion desktop app for Windows and macOS. Questions: paul@tripointmfg.com.

2. Data we store — and where it stays

The app stores the following locally on your device only:

This data is not transmitted to TriPoint LLC. It exists only on the device where you created it.

3. The optional companion connection

The mobile app can connect to a TriPoint Academy companion to view study content. You choose one of two:

When you connect to the hosted companion, our server records only standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp, and the request made) for security and reliability. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal study content through this connection, and there is no account or login. The connection is optional — all core study and game features work fully offline.

4. Camera & Augmented Reality

Optional Augmented Reality (AR) features use your device’s camera to overlay 3D content on your surroundings. When you open an AR feature:

5. What we do NOT collect

The one exception is the optional TriAi assistant, which receives the text of questions you choose to send it — see section 6.

6. TriAi assistant — the questions you ask it

TriPoint Academy includes an optional AI assistant, TriAi, that you can use on this website and inside the desktop app. TriAi is our own model, hosted on our server. When you send it a question:

Turning it off. In the desktop app, open Settings → TriAi server and disable it (or clear the server URL) to stop sending any prompts — core study and design features keep working without it. On this website, simply don’t use the TriAi demo. To ask us to remove prompts you believe identify you, email paul@tripointmfg.com with the details and approximate time.

Reporting AI output. If TriAi produces inappropriate, unsafe, biased, misleading, or otherwise problematic content, use Report an Issue inside the app or email paul@tripointmfg.com. We review these reports and take appropriate action.

Our integrity commitment. We will never sell your prompts, use them to identify, profile, or target you, or share them for advertising. They are used for a single purpose: making TriAi more accurate and helpful. We are committed to building TriAi responsibly, and we will keep adding safeguards — abuse and misuse prevention, content and safety filtering, bias and quality monitoring, data minimization, and stronger privacy protections — as the model and its architecture grow. We hold ourselves accountable for how TriAi is developed and used, and we will comply with the laws and regulations governing AI and personal data that apply to us, adopting new requirements as they come into effect.

7. Distribution platforms

TriPoint Academy is distributed through the Apple App Store and may be offered on Google Play and as a direct download. Those platforms may collect their own standard diagnostic, crash, and purchase data under their own policies, independent of TriPoint LLC — see Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.

8. Audience & children’s privacy

TriPoint Academy is a general-audience learning and creativity app for students, hobbyists, makers, families, and creators of all kinds. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone — including children — there is nothing to collect, retain, or delete, aside from the optional TriAi prompt text described in section 6 (which should never contain personal information). The app’s App Store age rating reflects mild cartoon/fantasy elements in some of its games; parents can review the rating before installing.

9. Your control over your data

Because everything is stored locally, you have full control at all times:

There is no account to delete. Aside from the optional TriAi prompt text (section 6), we hold no server-side personal data.

10. Security

App data lives in the app’s sandboxed container, protected by your operating system’s standard at-rest encryption (device passcode / Face ID / Touch ID on iOS). The hosted companion connection uses HTTPS (TLS). A local desktop connection runs over your private network — use it on trusted home or office Wi‑Fi.

11. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, note it in an app update. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Terms of Use (End-User License Agreement)

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using TriPoint Academy (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is licensed, not sold, to you by TriPoint LLC (“we”, “us”).

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, in accordance with the usage rules of the app store you obtained it from.

3. Restrictions

4. Your content

You own the notes, designs, projects, and other content you create in the App. Because that content stays on your device, you are responsible for backing it up. We claim no ownership over it.

5. Educational & informational use

The App’s study tools, calculators, simulations, and reference material are provided for learning and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional, engineering, legal, financial, medical, or other expert judgment, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any real-world decision. Always verify results independently.

AI-generated answers. TriAi and other AI features produce machine-generated text that can be wrong, outdated, biased, or incomplete. They are provided “as is,” for general information only, and must not be relied on as professional, engineering, legal, financial, medical, or safety advice. Always verify independently before acting on them.

Intellectual property. The TriPoint Academy software, the TriAi model and its trained weights, and all related names and branding are owned by TriPoint LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. Source documents in the knowledge base remain the property of their respective owners; TriAi’s responses are generated summaries with citations, not redistributions of those works. You may use TriAi’s outputs for your own study and projects, but you may not resell the model, its weights, or bulk outputs.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TriPoint LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it (which, for the free App, is zero).

8. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

9. Google Play & other stores

If you obtained the App through Google Play or another distributor, that platform’s terms and usage rules also apply, and those parties are not responsible for the App.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA (where TriPoint LLC is established), without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change and material updates may be noted in an app update. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
